Beautiful traditional setting with intricate decor.
Our room was not cleaned properly during our stay. The futons provided were uncomfortable, making it hard to sleep. The staff seemed distracted and did not address our concerns promptly.

10/10
Yo, the futons were mad comfy, like sinking into a cloud after long days. The kaiseki dinner? Absolute fire! Staff were super chill, helping out even with the language barrier. Plus, the onsen was a perfect wind-down spot. Just wish they had a couple more baths to choose from.

Enjoyed the traditional tatami mats and futons in the Japanese-style room. The staff consistently helped set up our futon beds each night, which was a nice personal touch. The onsen in the basement added relaxation after busy days exploring Kyoto. Breakfast included a great variety of Japanese dishes, bringing back fond memories of my family's meals in Japan. However, the common areas showed some signs of wear and tear, making them less inviting. Notably, the staff's English abilities were limited, making communication a bit challenging at times. Overall, a lovely stay with some areas for improvement.
